CSUS Science II

This new three-story, approximately 107,000 sf, facility will provide the campus with all new, state of the art, laboratories, classrooms, offices and observatory rooms. There is also a new one-story Mechanical Building of approximately 1,300 sf, and a new Greenhouse of approximately 4,800 sf.

CMA Campus-wide Seismic Upgrade

Complete seismic retrofit of all student housing, library, sports facilities and wharf buildings. Included 1,200 linear feet of shoreline stabilization, consisting of the drilling and installation of over 600 stone columns to protect the campus from soils liquefaction in the event of a seismic occurrence.

CMA Dwyer Hall

CMA Dwyer Hall Demolition Work

CMA Infrastructure Upgrade

Upgrade of the campus-wide underground electrical distribution system, construction of several new sub-station facilities, replacement of existing fire and domestic water services, replacement of gas distribution services, upgrade of building connection and utility interface, upgrades to HVAC systems and other infrastructure. The campus remained in full operation during the duration of the project. Scheduled to be complete in June of 1999, this project was completed four months ahead of schedule.

Replacement of the central site steam boiler plant infrastructure with a six building distributed heating system of individually metered steam and hot water boilers. This change necessitated a supporting infrastructure of complete natural gas distribution system, electrical infrastructure, state of the art turbine driven air conditioning chillers and control systems.
