Redwood High School Swim Facility and Practice Gymnasium

This project replaced the existing swimming pool at Redwood High School. The pool is pile supported and was constructed below the tide line and in the bay mud. This state of the art swim facility is open to the public in addition to the high school. The project also consisted of the construction of a new pile supported practice gymnasium.

Sir Francis Drake High School Swim Facility

The new state of the art pool is located near the front of the school for more desirable access. The project was delivered using the Lease / Leaseback project delivery methodology.

Tamalpais High School Keyser Hall Replacement

This project replaced the historic Keyser Hall located on the Tamalpais HS campus. The project was constructed on a hillside in the middle of a fully operational campus.  This multi-structure facility was completed on time and within the district's budget.  Keyser included 24 classrooms, two wet lab science rooms and one technology classroom. Brace framed structural steel, metal studs, brick veneer were all components of this complex project.

Fitch Mountain Elementary School

VPCS managed the design and construction of this state of the art CHPS certified Facility. This new mission style 45,000 square-foot facility includes new classrooms, library/media center, computer laboratories, multi-use room and kitchen, administration, teachers lounge and workrooms, kindergarten wing, new playgrounds and play fields including a redwood grove and all support utilities. The century old school bell was donated by VPCS and Wright Contracting.

VCUSD District Wide Modernization

VPCS managed a four year modernization program which improved all of the 24 campus's throughout the district. The modernization consisted of complete abatement, demolition to structure, new configurations, all new finishes, cabinets, HVAC, Electrical, Technology, Sitework and ADA. VCPS provided both Program and Construction Management for all of the projects. The program was completed on time and there were bond funds left over for future projects.

Healdsburg High School Lobby Remodel

The project consists of the complete restoration and remodeling of the lobby of the Smith Robinson Gymnasium on the campus of Healdsburg High School. The project includes new team rooms, snack bar, restrooms, lobby, wall of fame and covered outdoor waiting areas. It also upgrades the existing alarm systems through the entire gymnasium facility. Steffan Manor Temporary School

After the devastating fire on March 6, 2001 that brought a portion of the original Steffan Manor Elementary School to the ground, Van Pelt Construction Services acted as the manager for a multiple-prime fast track project to install a temporary school site on the playing field of Annie Pennycook Elementary School. The project included the grading of the Pennycook fields, delivery and set-up of temporary trailer/classrooms, installation of electrical, mechanical and plumbing utilities, installation of a fire alarm and bell system, paving of walkways and parking areas, security fencing and ultimately the relocation of the undamaged school materials. This project was completed in eleven days.
