Welcome to the CSU Stanislaus Nora and Hashem Naraghi Hall of Science Project web site!

Project Progress Introduction

CSU Stanislaus is excited about the construction of our new three-story 110,000 square foot Nora and Hashem Naraghi Hall of Science Building.  The new facility will include new laboratories, classrooms, offices and observatory, serving the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Geology Departments of the College of Natural Sciences, as well as the Dean's suite.  This $54 million project was funded through the 2002 and 2004 bonds.

Site Updated:  1/18/2007
This web site will be one of the best tools for our campus community to stay informed about the Nora and Hashem Naraghi Hall of Science Building Project.  At this site the campus community will be able to:

  • find out the latest construction news,
  • stay informed about the progress of the project,
  • find maps detailing areas of the campus impacted by construction,
  • meet the Science II project team.

Our most important concern during the construction activity is to ensure the safety of the campus community particularly around the Science I Building and Willow Lake. We also want to inform the community on inconveniences that will occur during the construction phase.  The project has caused the re-routing of pathways and will increase the noise, traffic, and impact the normal campus quiescence.  When completed, we believe the inconveniences will be far offset by the benefits of a having a new modern science building serving our campus. Your understanding and patience is appreciated.
